Have to admit I hadn’t heard an awful lot by this group (listening to lots of other stuff) - just enough to make me buy concert tickets. I’m now a completely converted “Lunasa-tic.” Every one of these musicians is incredible - amazing whistles/flutes/pipes/fiddle. But (dare I say this on a whistle board?) the bass and guitar were my favorites. What an amazing sound! I loved the deep rhythm these added to the tunes. I also loved Donogh Hennessy’s intensity, his eyes, his hair, his smile…but wait, I digress…
They’ve just finished recording a new CD “Redwood” that I’ll be awaiting with bated breath. I was feeling bad about missing the Grand Junction festival, but no longer.

Amazing aren’t they? Nothing forced about them, they’re truly enjoying themselves, and they really like their fans. No question, I will see them again if the opportunity comes along.
I’m jealous!!
Seriously, it sounds like a great time, Susan, and I hope I can go next time they come.
