Lunasa Concert - Very Impressed

Went to see the Lunasa Concert two weeks ago
in Asheville, NC and to me they more than lived up
to their billing. Very innovative music with a solid
founding in traditional styles. The best of the old and the new.
The “Irish” group that really puts the “whistle” at
the forefront. Anyway, I loved it and reccomend
any whistle “fanatic” see them if you can. They
don’t sing at all…but almost everbody knows that
by now. Other impressions from anyone who has
seen them on their recent North American tour?

I saw them in London back in July last year, and they were great. I think it was the start of their promotional tour for the new album MSOF, I bought all 3 CDs cheap at the concert and have been listening to them ever since.

Great arrangements, some really lively tunes, and a great line in patter. I’ll definitely see them again next time they come round London way.

Haven’t seen them but I just bought my first Lunasa CD. Love it. I’ll be sure to catch them when they come to town.
