I want to insert a jpg file into a post. How can I do that?

You have to have it uploaded, IE not on your computer but on a webpage somewhere. Then, once you have the image location (the url of the image) you put it between “img” tags, like this:

Some places like eBay used to require posting the image to a website, then inserting that address, but now they can accept direct uploads from the computer. Can this board be “taught” how to do that?

If images were kept on the message board computer you would find the current system overloaded in a very short time… both in disk storage and in the time it would take to process and serve-up the pictures.
