Can anyone explain to me how to put a pic into a post?
Well if you upload the picture somewhere, you then link it in your post like this:
If you just put the link without those tags then a clickable external link will appear.
If you don’t already have the pic uploaded to the web, here’s a good free hosting service: http://xs.to/ they also supply you with the codes needed to post them in many places. Pretty handy!
Somebody before made a nice explanation in this forum , or the flute forum , about including pictures in your post .
Anyway , if you want to use pictures already used in internet , you just go with the mouse on top of the picture and click the right botton and then click property and copy the URL address , then click “Img” on your post and then click paste .
If you want use a picture situated in you PC , then just listen to annienmcu by using http://xs.to/ or any other website that let you upload photos trough the web ( there’re many website like that one ) .
Once the picture is uploaded in the website , you just repeat what I’ve said before , copy URL address , click Img and paste the URL address !

P.S. it happens sometime to me that the picture do not appear in the post , just the URL address , but that it’s probably a computer’s mistery ! ![]()
Since pictures tend to be copyright, some sites protect against other people using them by preventing them from being hotlinked (which it what we do when we post a link to a picture) or downloaded.
That’s what sometimes happens when the picture doesn’t appear, but the link does.
Also, sometimes, the URL is not available, so obviously the picture will not display.
It also happens if you leave a space between the URL and the [ \img ] delimiter.
There’s a “sticky” in the Test Forum by Gary Kelly that does a great job of explaining how to post pictures. ImageShack does a nice hosting job for your personal photos, too. I’ve also seen Photobucket recommended a lot.
