Not too many whistle manufactures make high G whistle. I bought a Generation high G whistle two year ago, the sound from that high G whistle is very bad. Because I don’t have experience playing any other high G whistles I don’t know whether the sound of high G whistle is in general bad due to the high picth. From current ad, I found out Mack Hoover has whitecap high G whistle and Susato has VSB high G whistle. Are those two high G whistle making sweet sound? If you play any of those two high G whistles, I would like to read your opinions. Or you have any other high G whistle experiences, I also like to read your opinions.
As I just said in another thread, if you’re looking for really beautiful High Gs, why not try the Weasel, Parkhurst or Silkstone. All three of them make excellent ones. I’d say, my Parkhurst is the sweetest one I know.
I have a Thin Weasel high G in Blackwood which is a thing of great beauty-- both appearance and sound. It’s about the size of a pencil, and sings with a beautiful birdlike tone. Not at all shrill.

For twenty bucks it’s supposed to do wonders. - You could go to his website, email him and ask if this is doable with your Gen tube. I’ve heard a few people say they hate their Gen. You wanted high G whistle “experience.” I bet I’m only one of many who’ve been asked to stop playing in a public place with mine!
It was nearly twenty years ago, perhaps, in Victoria Station. I pulled out my high G because it was the only one that could be heard over the trains. When I played Tenpenny Bit, the high G was wonderfully audible. Did you know that people actually have offices upstairs there? Who could work with all that noise going on? Seems they drew straws among the office workers to select an official emissary to find and silence the whistle player.
It’s taken me some time to dare playing in public since then. But never the high G.
