The new season of Heroes</A](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYjBQKIOb-w&feature=related">Heroes</A)> opens tonight @ 9 with a 2-hour special. Anyone up for it? Season one was so excellent, and season two was such incompetent trash, that I just don’t know what to expect. I will certainly be much less enthusiastic going into this one. They’d better impress the crap out of me tonight.

I’ll be watching. And from the early reviews, the premiere knocks the ball out of the park! I’ve been spoiled on most of it already, but to whet your appetite I’ll say more happens tonight than probably all of last season.

Remember that there was a writer’s strike last season, Deej. They only had a small amount to work with to begin with, which is why it wasn’t nearly as good as the first season. This season promises to be a doozy, and I can’t wait to watch it! 
It’s the only TV show other than the X-Files (which is my favorite TV show of ALL time) that I even care enough to DVR.

You know, to be honest, I didn’t really have a problem with last season. As Izz said, there was a writers’ strike, so some of the material may have been less than par, but seriously…even with that, I thought it was one of the best shows on television.
We have three regular shows that we will absolutely not miss recording: Heroes, Bones, and Numbers.

Sure, but season one stands on its own as a complete story. Right from the start, season two seemed like they were totally unprepared to be renewed, so that they had to start reviving characters from the dead and cobble something together in a hurry. I totally did not buy season two.

I wanted to like this show. I watched the first season about 3/4 of the way through and lost interest. I thought it was me. So, I watched the first season again online and lost interest at the same 3/4 point. Oh well.
Have never seen an episode but I am at a friend’s house rehearsing and they are addicted to it… I may have to see an episode now… stay tuned. 
Have I mentioned that I do not watch television?
Darn, darn, darn! I fell asleep about ten minutes before the end! Arrrrgh! Oh, how I hate being fallible!

I was actually a little disappointed after the hype, but the season shows more promise than last year did.
I wonder how long before it arrives in the UK.
Auntie Beeb is already running trailers for it, but I haven’t heard when it will be screened.
season 3 episode 3:
(the immediate future and my predictions for the whole season)
Mohinder turns into a fish/buggy thingy. (buggy-fish thingy?).
Maya is, of course, pregnant with his spawn (larvae?)
Partman, the humble flatfoot, slowly & surely solves the formula mystery.
Nathan begins his descent into insanity, guided by the loving hand of Lindermann.
Did I miss what happened to Nikki? Why is she Tracy now? Where’s her kid?
Noah gets injected with Mohinder’s serum and becomes super-visioned. Ive always wondered about his glasses.
Uhuru and Mrs Petrelli have a dream-battle, in which Checkov returns as the ‘Russian’ hero, with the ability to bend like rubber. (btw, Didnt Mrs Petrelli have a cameo on Star Trek? not being a geek, I’m not certain of this)
Battle of the titans: Clare’s natural mom and gas-flame-hand-guy duke it out, bigtime. Clare goes off barbecue forever.(and for her, it’s really ‘forever’.)
although Hiro has traditionaly been ‘comic-relief’, he turns out to have an even darker role than Peter.
Looks like they saved the plot after all! At least up to the 2nd episode.
You missed the bit where Ando turns Hiro into toast.

I was going to watch it as I have followed it since the beginning but Prison Break was on during the same timeslot so that won out for me. I thought Heroes was good, not great though. I preferred the 4400 over Heroes. Heroes borrows alot from the 4400. I’ll just have to wait until the third season of Heroes comes out on DVD to catch it.
Watched it last night. In 2 episodes it’s already better than the whole of season 2. Good stuff.
For those that are wondering Season 3 is showing on BBC 2 on Oct 1st at 9pm I believe with next week’s episode showing straight after on BBC 3 (hence the series starting a week after the US).
