House MD...

I watch virtually no TV, between nursing school, whistle making etc. The one show that Charlene and I really get a kick out of is House MD. Hugh Laurie makes such an entertaining schmuck. Last night, however, we simply and totally forgot to watch it. As there are a couple of running story threads going on, I was wondering if anyone did see the show and could fill me in. Thanks.

Weeelllll…

as far as the running story lines goes, that little sh*t Det. Tritter froze everyone’s assests but Chase’s and arranged to be seen with him in the hospital caffeteria in order to get everyone thinking that Chase sold out House.
Cuddy has House on a regimented diet of Vicoden (no more perscriptions) and only gets them every six hours, which is interfering with House’s effectiveness on the job (we see in this episode that Chase gets an obscure diagnosis right where House went wrong). House punched out Chase (we all knew that was going to happen eventually, right everybody? )
Chase insenuates to Wilson that he does indeed intend to sell out House, and the episode ends with Wilson hinting to Tritter that he’s willing to sell out on House.

Did I miss anything, anyone else who watched?

Thanks.. I figgered YOU might answer

I couldn’t help it…

Tyler, your avatar photo reminds me of the smuck that my woman friend makes me watch on TV. She hands me the remote, and says, “You can watch what you want, honey.” Actually, I would like to watch something on PBS. However, I know that the correct response is to defer to her wishes and watch yet another episode of “House”. Don’t ask me about the details, though. Each episode seems to be much the same. Someone has a mysterious disease, and only House, with his week-old beard, is smart enough to make a diagnosis, as he hobbles around the hospital with his cane, insulting members of the staff in the process.

Regarding the case of the week, the parents of the dying kid were so contentious that the judge handed temporary medical custody over to Cuddy. She went conservative on the antibiotics, which led House and the team to believe that she squandered the kids and allowed her to get necrotizing fascitis. So they were gonna amputate all her limbs. House nailed Cuddy with how crappy a mother she would have been, given this development. She broke down bad and Wilson caught on. They saved the girl after all, she had something else, so basically, House and all of 'em were wrong, but the case was solved by Chase, who had to stop the amputations and House, who was completely strung out by withdrawal.

In the end, Wilson decided Tritter was right. House had ravaged Cuddy and almost caused dismemberment because of faulty judgement. So, after counseling Chase that everybody makes a bad call, Wilson went to Tritter to rat out House. That’s the new story line. House gets sentenced in two weeks (not on next week)…

Crud, I missed last night’s episode, are they doing re-runs anywhere?

Loren

The USA cable network, here and there.

Figures, I don’t get USA.

Loren

I sat through one episode when it first came out over here.

Never again.

We don’t watch a lot of TV, but we do get a few DVDs in from time to time. We’re currently watching series one of “House”. We just watched the second episode - this is the one were the poor kid with mutated measles gets needles shoved in his spine, in his eye (yipes!) and has his skull drilled…

There were three of us watching with our hands over our eyes…
:astonished: :astonished: :astonished:

Hey, that’s how i watched “Borat!”

What I love on House is how all of his interns do ALL of the procedures themselves. They never ORDER an MRI-- they go right into radiology and perform the test themselves. Suspected brain tumor? The boys and girls go into the OR, crack open the cranium and do the biopsy personally.
Heart attack? They go in, open the chest and do the CABG themselves*. What a team!

Nyuk. They are even faster than those lightning-fast DNA results on all the autopsy-crime shows! Just like real life. Sheyeahhhhhhhhhhh!

So there are advantages to living in Europe, no ‘House’.
Must admit being addicted to ‘Scrubs’.
