I got my Starter set from Greenwood Pipes today (http://www.greenwoodpipes.com) Beautiful! The wood is terrific, the turning is clean and accurate, the metal work is artistically done. Overall, very good hand-work…not the sterile, factory made effect we have come to live with in everything from kitchen utensils to clothes. And, most importantly, they play! (And comfortably, in terms of fingering and reach, padding and ease of operation overall.)

I’ll be posting pictures of them when the drones arrive and we get a moment of sunshine!

I received my pipes from David Boisvert at Greenwoodpipes.com last Saturday. Excellent craftsmanship on the metal, wood, leather. Played in key right out of the box with one adjustment of the reed. The cocobolo wood chanter with boxwood highlights makes for a very appealing UP.
