Hi, So far I have a Clark C and Feadog D whistle and I am not sure I like them so much. I’ve heard some sound samples of the Syn D whistle around on the web and I am interested in purchasing one. Does anyone know of a reputable online store that sells them? So far I have only found ozwhistles.com and irishflutestore.com and I am not sure I want to purchase one from either of those. Any suggestions where to by a Syn tin whistle greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I doubt if you’ll find another dealer better than Doc at the IrishFluteStore. He’s a mensch and is absolutely fair in his business dealings and ships everything he sells immediately. If there’s a better vendor, I don’t know them.

All 3 noted dealers are known and reputable and I’ve had positive experience with 2 of them first hand. Also, Erle Bartlett, who makes the Syn whistles, also makes the Black Diamond whistles; I have a C which I like very much.

I just got a Syn D, C and Eb from Erle. They are totally brilliant. The “D” is
one of the best whistles I have seen, heard and played. Am so thrilled to
bits with it. It is much better than a $400 wooden whistle that I had.
The “D” is $75 Australian.
There is a long waiting list for his Low "D"s.
If you have problems getting one where you are, you can contact him direct as Erle does not

Happy to hear that. I am very pleased with the Syn low D I own and have long thought the design deserves more recognition. Has some unique playing characteristics, including a rich, complex tone and very low air requirements.
I got a Syn high D right here via Chiff & Fipple when I asked for something loud enough for Morris playing. I love it; it’s not just loud, but has a rich warm tone and can take a lot of pushing.
