A good quality contact cement should cure the problem.
Follow the instructions carefully and then sumbit the joint to clamp pressure and leave for 2-3 days

ok thanks. i try it. pat told me to send it back to him, the stand up fellow he is, but i just wanted to do it meself. a guy thing i guess.
Perhaps it would be better for Pat to do the repair. He will know his work inside out and will correct any problems. if you attempt it and then cause further damage perhaps he may not be so welcoming to fix it.
If like you say you are experiencing the guy thing. Why not have a go at making your own bag. Its not that difficult and you know you still have a good bag from Pat.
If you do attempt it and mess it up. Pat would be well within his rights to charge for the repair or replacement bag as your attempts to fix would have rendered any guarantee void.
So please tread carefully.

Being a ghb player I am used to fixing on the go. I am gonna try the fix with pats direction and maybe go leather bag one the near future. Just what I’m used to.
