Getting slow in my old age

For years I’ve loved Jean Richie’s “Thistle and Shamrock” program on PBS Radio. But for various scheduling reasons, I was probably able to cath only parts of perhaps one show in three.

Now I find (about three weeks ago) that I can listen to it on the web, and not only that but I can do it at my convenience, any day but Tuesday and many different times on Sat/Sun.

Duh!

I’m really interested because if PBS is what I guess (your public radio, right?) then we get a chance to hear it over here.

Now, it’s been three weeks since you know…
May we reasonably expect you post the link before July?

Well, dangit, I said I was getting slow.

PBS stands for Public Broadcasting System though I think it goes by another name now. Another acronym, NPR, stands for National Public Radio, which I think is the production company although I’m not 100% sure.

Here’s the program link with the various broadcasts and times. Most stations support at least two browser types. sometimes more. You can even set the list to reflect accurate times in your local time zone.

Me too! But isn’t it Fiona Richie?

I love her accent.

Yeah, it is. and now a guilty secret comes out. I was listening to and thinking of a diferent sort of folk music when I wrote the first post. FWIW, I also love Jean Ritchie’s music. Ah, well.

Thanks Chuck. I’ve always meant to see if it was on the web. But I always forget.

I’m like that.

NPR? National Public Radio
PBS? Public Broadcasting Service - mostly TV, IIRC
