How do you get it to play? Hit it with a hammer? Empty cache? Fly to Waterford and find a TV?
Great that Dave found a set to go with that chanter. Think I remember him talking about the Burke/O’Dowd pipes when he was still living in NJ. Nice results, there’s a YouTube of him playing those. As the bard sayeth: Bb iz da schinznitz.
I just figured it out. You have to use the TG4 Beo player. Go to http://beo.tg4.ie/, click on “Ceol”, then on “Geantrai 07/03/10 Pt 1.” David’s performance is about two thirds of the way through.
Fantastic piping and the chanter sounds great.
How’s that for a St Plastic Patty’s antidote?
It played fine on my Mac with Firefox 3 in the US. So it does work. I think it’s Flash based, so be sure and update your Flash player. Great stuff. I love his rendition of the West Wind. It’s a tune I play often and it’s great to hear variations.
