FS: Olive Bleazey G (pic of repair added)

For sale is a Bleazey G whistle that had a crack on the top tone hole. This crack has been expertly repaired by Paul Bussman (Brewerpaul). He wanted to buy it from me but decided he had enough whistles. It will be shipped from his location.

Pictures of the repair can/will be posted by Paul.

Price is $350 new. I am asking $225 shipped to US for it. Foreign postage will have to be determined by Paul. Insurance will be extra too.

What kind of wood is it made from?

Doh! Silly me. It is olive wood. Let me look to see if I have a picture of the actual whistle.

It is the one next to the Low D on the right.

Just for clarification…

Steve has two whistles in this key and only one mouth (it’s a loong story*…he can type it if he wants). If he only had only one you’d have a pretty ugly fight on your hands to get it away from him as he’s quite attached to his Bleaseys.

Steve and Paul are both fine fellows and great guys to do bidness wit.

This crack ran across that tone hole and down around the side of the whistle. Although moderately long, the crack never opened very much and the repair which I did about 3 days ago seems quite stable. It’s not a totallly invisible repair, but with the “busy” grain of the olivewood, it’s not really noticeable.

Dang, that’s a honey! :slight_smile: If I hadn’t just given myself a mahogany Hoover G for Christmas, (which I love dearly), I’d be all over this. The one mouth thing is a bit of a problem, though. :cry:

There must be SOMEONE that will make me an offer on this fine instrument. 50% of list is a fair price I think, but will consider other offers on it too. You might just catch me in a weak moment.

You made a good choice. However, I do prefer to be a little more creative than just giving a thread a prosaic bump. :wink:
