Before the weekend started I had a number of whistles to sell. Between the C&F event and a previous contact I am down to one mainly. That would be a
NEW Weston C in Sapele
This is a non-tunable wooden whistle that was sent to me as a demonstration whistle for the event. I am posting it for sale for him. It is very in tune and balanced up through second octive A. Second octive B is a bit sharp. There is a bit of breath to the sound, but passes Renee’s Breath-o-lator test. She does not like a whistle that has too much breath to the tone and hides the note sound. I would get this whistle myself if I did not already have a couple of very nice C’s.
As you can see in the photo he has used a bit of brass filings in the finish. Looks really cool in person. He has added a nice looking brass ring at the mouthpiece transition. Simple, yet gives the whistle a touch of class and goes well with the brass accents on the barrel.
I also have a
Busman Delrin D and a
Shultz Thin Weasel D (blackwood)
that I am agonizing over if I REALLY want to sell them. If I get offered the right price or trade . . . . . . . . What I am REALLY looking for a Bleazey in A and Bb, mopani and silver fittings, specifically but bring on any offer to be considered.
