Well, well, well, nice to see the RMP’s are still alive, if not necessarily kicking. I’d sure like to come to this, guys. Are prodigal ex-chiffers still invited?
Of course, I’ll have to check with the Missus, and a lot depends on how the hunting goes the next couple weekends. We REALLY need some meat in the freezer. Plus my wife’s car has been acting up, and my truck seems to get about 3 miles to the gallon, so we try not to take it on the highway if we can help it. (Purple truck is no more…moment of silence…)
But whew…I cannot say how GREAT it would be to get together with you guys again. I’m still whistling, and Sarah has taken up the fiddle. Seems like there are some new members to the club that I need to meet, too.
Whether or not this works out, we should definitely get together this winter sometime. We’d be glad to host again, though it’s a long way from everywhere. What if I threw in some elk potroast?
So, how the heck is everybody? I’d sure like to hear from any or all of you. I can’t check the message board often because we aren’t allowed to go to forums at work, and don’t have internet at home. I do check my e-mail a few times a week, so if someone could keep me posted as to this and other developments, I’d surely appreciate it. I’ve been thinking of all of you lately, and especially missing Brian, Beth, and Mack.
In news of all things Wilson, I’m back to teaching elementary (see the “Pest Control” thread). I miss band, but on the other hand it’s freed up a lot of time for other things. I’m working on my next CD, this one hopefully good enough to sell (the last one was just for fun). Trying some new things on it–the whistle/horns combo is working out especially well.
Marriage was somewhat hard to get used to after all those years of mostly-happy singledom, but Sarah is wonderful, and I think she really is starting to make a husband out of me. We have a great time and laugh alot. Especially when trying to plan the future and/or balance the check book.
No kids yet, but a dog with more enthusiasm than brains, and a cat who is downright “differently abled,” as my special ed friends would say.
All things considered, God is taking very good care of us, and we’re taking pretty good care of each other…life is good.
That’s enough for now–gotta get home and get my gear together for tomorrow’s hunt. I really miss you guys! E-mail me or call, for crying out loud!
Yours in Badgerly Ways–
Tom
