For Overton fans

Hi,

Not been whistling much; the thing is, I only have three functioning whistles – Overton low D, Overton D/C and Chieftain Eb. I was in a destructive mood, you see. Well, I haven’t broken down my website though; it’s still there, alive and well (although I no longer own many of the whistles I reviewed).

By the way, I found this FLASH maker (freeware), and decided to make something. The first task given to me (from who…me?) is to make one about Overton whistles. Nothing commercial (I don’t gain anything from making this), just a praise.

Dedicated to Bernard and Colin and everyone who helped the Cosmic Drainpipes come into the world.

So, whether you’re totally into Overton whistles or not, this flash is for you! Kick back and enjoy.

Both in Japanese and English (part Latin & German)

(requires Macromedia Flash player. Free)

Cool it just makes my Whoa grow because I don’t have any.

Tak, nice clip
I too admirer Overtons, therefore I shall store(keep) it for myself
Can send it to Colin?

I just don’t know if I am into Overtons or not…

What do you think? (and yes, I do play them all from time to time)

Ummmmm-- all I get is what looks like some sort of shopping site for TVs etc in Japanese!

Ditto what brewerpaul said!?

If you take out the /overton.swf from the address it will take you to the site I suspect Tak is leading you to. However, unless you read Japanese, you still can’t read it. But you can look at the pictures! So try this:

http://www.geocities.jp/takk_the_whistler/

Well I could not read it. But there were some good pictures.

The second link on that page will give you a very brief bit of “My Lagan Love”, the URL being: http://www.geocities.jp/takk_the_whistler/overton2.swf

So, my first thought was that it should have been “overton2.swf”, rather than “overton.swf”.

However, it turns out that the http://www.geocities.jp/takk_the_whistler/overton.swf also has something, but you have to go to http://www.geocities.jp/takk_the_whistler/ first, then add the “overton.swf”.

Thanks Mike. I guess I should have played with the address a little more. I added the “overton.swf” after getting the site up just as you suggested. Neat site!

Very impressive collection Steven.(Idawhoa)
