That is an O’Grady chanter. I have yet to play an O’Grady set that hasn’t played nicely and with good tone. I am not wild about the look of the mounts, but that is purely superficial and neither here nor there.
But what bothers me is that sentence about the reeds: “This chanter comes with two reeds which I believe are both by Mr O’Grady and do not appear to have been given final scraping and fitting to the chanter. I have not adjusted the bridles or scraped them.”
Are those reeds not “ready” to be played or is the normal proccess meant that the reeds are not well-rehearsed yet? Or do I have to scrap them myself?
