I have one of Jim’s concert chanters in cocobolo boxwood and brass. Absolutely love it. That set looks great. If I were just starting out or if I wanted to upgrade to a great chanter and good bellows, I definitely would.

Very much worth the price. I received a chanter from Kirk last year and actually had one of his older chanters on hand to do a direct comparison. Using the same reed in both chanters the newer one (which also had the wood reed cap) sounded much richer than the older one (ca. 2001).
