I hope something works for you, Pat! I did a recording project once where they pitch-shifted my D chanter into that Eb zone. Bloody awfull 
Andy Faden makes a fine Eb chanter. I suspect logistics are against you, but it might be worth getting on touch with him?
does anyone have a clip or recording of an eb chanter? i’ve looked but can’t find anything
If I remember correctly, Mickey Smyth’s fill in Ba mhaith liom bruíon le d’athair (at 2:23). Not sure though it is an actual e flat one. They may have ‘spun’ it.

It was for a recording. We ended up pitch-shifting the arse out of it. It would be good to have one though, also one in E for all those shighte A tunes. If any maker out there is interested in philanthropy please get in touch

Eb is nasty enough, never mind E!
Though a customer has recently said that their Eb is sounding almost normal… I have changed the design somewhat since that recording.
How about an A chanter for those nasty A tunes?
it sounds like e flat chanters are played when needed not because anyone is that keen on the sound
