Clare flute player (and flute maker) Eamonn Cotter released a new CD a few weeks ago (launched at Willie Clancy Week). It’s entitled “The Knotted Chord,” in tribute to the music shop in Ennis by that name that was run by his late brother Ciarán. It’s a great recording, beautiful playing from Eamonn on a variety of well-known and lesser-known tunes, a nice set of reels played with Charlie Harris, Maeve Donnelly, and Eamonn’s sister Geraldine (who provides piano accompaniment on many of the tracks), a couple of slow airs. Highly recommended!
