Could be an exciting finish here, just now it’s at 576 sterling. The embouchure hole appears to be big, but hasn’t been enlarged according to the seller. ![]()

Good to see you back, e!
I’ve missed you.
Dang! Zat devil Andrew pipped me at zer post! After I bid all of the next 6 months housekeeping as well…

andrew was indeed “all over it” as they say
he made a good buy and seems happy about it…at least that’s his tone from his emails to me.
I thought of trying it…then backed away as I’m awaiting delivery of another boxwood Rudall.
But andrew is clearly “The Man”
Can you believe these scammers, this arrived through e.bays own message system, within a coulple of hours of the auction ending.
I’ve edited the e.mail so it doesn’t come up as a clickable link!

Did you alert eBay to the scam? I’m sure they’d not be impressed that it was being sent through their own messaging system. If nothing else, yer man ‘firemed5’ would at least have his account terminated.
Edited to add: If that scam message came from firemed5, it looks like his account may have been hijacked.
Yup I told e.bay. I was astonished by how quick they were on the case, they must winnow out the hight ticket items and automaticaly respond. Now I think on it I could probably script that myself so scammers would have no problem. It wasn’t at all convincing due to it not being from the seller, but I suppose some poor innocents must fall foul of this sort of thing.
Well things certainly heated up during the last 6 or so minutes of the auction: 1.500 sterling was a low price if the flute hasn’t been “enhanced”
