I’m selling my Dixon 3 Piece. You’ve all read about them, they’re great flutes for beginners and the more seasoned alike. This one got me through the period between selling my last flute and getting my Prowse. Alas, it’s time for it to go to a new home. It plays really well, has served me well on many a tune and is in good condition. The bronzed ferrules are a bit tarnished, purely cosmetic.
It’s for sale for £100 plus postage (I know, I know…it’s so cheap, I’m robbing myself etc, etc…) UK postage will be in the order of £2. If anyone wants it posted overseas, I will check the exact price for you.
E-mail or PM me if you’re interested or want any further details - what are you waiting for
Maybe post a sound clip of the flute? People are constantly asking about Dixons, so it would give them helpful info, and your sale probability a “leg up”.
I would buy it myself as the Dixon 3-piece polymer that I have has been my favorite of 8 flutes, including woods, and metal. (Just bought a Copeland though…)
I realise that, I’d certainly rather take a loss and think that the flute is at least being played rather than gathering dust in my house! We’ll see what the volatile flute market comes up with.
