This really is a good beginner flute. It doesn’t have the strength of tone through the entire range that higher-end flutes have, but it’s great for learning fingering and working on embouchure. The holes are small, so it will get you used to holding a flute without really straining your fingers. The second octave d is really strong, and a great note to practice tone on. The flute is in tune and solid, easily washed with water and soap. A good thing for a beginner. I got it second-hand (today) and I want to pass it on.
$185 including US shipping. Shipping to other countries will cost more.
Considering prices for the Dixon 3-piece have gone up, this is a great deal, especially since there’s no risk of the flute being out of stock and being put on a waiting list.
And no, I have no commercial interest in the sale of this flute… I have my own.
I would so love to be able to take advantage of this, but won’t have funds for a couple months… someone will get a great deal though!! I’m totally shocked it hasn’t already gone–the last one for sale was grabbed within a day.
Ok, this is bizarre…I just got an e-mail from someone wanting to buy the flute and I replied twice, but it bounced back as undeliverable both times. I have no way to reach him (David, if you are out there, send me a private message).
