Wouldn’t it be better if new posts, to a topic, be entered at the top of the list instead of the bottom?

That’s entirely up to you, Pat.

Go to your User Control Panel. Under Options (left side), choose Board Preferences. Under Board Preferences, choose Edit Display Options. Set the “Display topics” and “Display posts” groupings to the order and direction you prefer.

Also remember that, when you’re looking at the list of Topics in a forum, or at the “View active topics” list, you can

  1. Click on the little “arrow and page” next to the last poster’s name (rightmost column) to take you directly to the last post.

  2. Click on the highlighted “arrow and page” to the the left of the topic title to take you directly to the last unread post.

oh, that’s great, I did not know this was possible!
Now I can click on the topic subject in the topic index, instead of trying to hit the tiny paper icon beside the arrow beside the last poster’s name in the far right column. Thanks!
