About this Forum

This forum seems to be organized by “most recently posted” – that is, the list of topics you see is ordered by the most recent posting to that topic.

That has the unfortunate effect sometimes of "burying" new topics. If a topic isn't getting a constant stream of "replies" it tends to get pushed down the list until it disappears.

It would be nice if it were possible to view the list of topics in the "most recently started" order (i.e., by the date of the original post to the thread). That way a reader could take a quick glance to see what new topics have recently popped up, before switching over to the other view to see the topics that have gotten the most recent replies.

Any hope of implementing something like that?

I just want to weigh in that I like it just the way it is. I check in often, and there are usually just the right amount of new posts and responses to make this way of operating perfect.

I like the way the board is now. It is sort of self selecting. Popular topics float to the topic. You can always post a gratuitous “me too” comment to resurrect a topic.
But you did say you wanted an option, not to change the default behavior, and choice is always a good thing.
Cheers,
