A few new items from my workshop. The Irish Flute Combo starts with one of my basic D flutes with Rings and Slides (in this instance, one of my small handed versions), with extra joints that converts it into a flute in C, Eb or E. Thus these keys can be easily played: C/F, D/G, Eb/Ab and E/A. I will be adding this combo package to my website this week.

This particular flute is for a close friend of mine. My friends Alden Cali Hackmann who make Hurdy Gurdies nearby (I use their laser engraver to engrave my makers stamp) also have a side business called Bracken Creek Buttons - see https://www.etsy.com/shop/BrackenCreekButtons. The end cap of the above flute features one of their knotwork inlays in mother of pearl from mussel shell. I hope to include more such work in my flutes. In this image it is hard to capture the colorful chatoyancy of the mother of pearl.

This has been a busy month - another 23 flutes out the door, including the one above - 56 for the year.

Happy Spring!
Casey
