commercial post ''Whistles of Wood''

[/img]

Several months ago in 2006 I sent out two ‘‘Whistles of Wood’’ tours.
I would like to thank those of you that wrote back to me with reviews.
It was very enlightening. The tour whistles were non tunable, and at the top of the review list was, ‘‘where are the tunable whistles?’’ I now have some sold, and for sale.

From the top of the picture

persimmon D - more than moderate in volume waiting patiently to be made tunable
cocobolo D - moderate in volume $150.00 sold
cardinal wood D - moderate in volume $150.00 sold
purpleheart D - very quiet, sold
curly maple D - moderate in volume 150.00
walnut C- moderate in volume - sold

The tuning slide will allow to play flat or sharp, and of course right on when it is pulled out a little. The tuning slide is also the same size inside as the whistle bore, and is a brass in brass tube. The fipple plug is white delrin. Mouthpiece and ferrules are brass.
I do have some other pictures to post.

purpleheart D - moderate in volume $50.00
bocote D - moderate in volume $50.00 sold
bubinga D - moderate in volume sold

Nice! Are you planning any other keys besides C & D?

Damn nice looking whistles there Tommy!

What is the metal on the head and rings?

Check your PM.

Thank you for the compliment and question Mitch. I have edited the top to say the mouthpiece and ferrules are brass.
