So who’s going to be there? I saw a few other threads about this in different forums. A bunch of us from Montreal are going to be there, and many friends are coming from oversea. Well, so far just a french flute player woman from France that’s oversea based, but heck, Seattle and California is almost like oversea to me. It should be a great week, few of us reserved many cottages near town, so we’ll be having music all the time hopefully.
I’ll be doing a craft show (“Mountain Culture Festival,” actually) in Hunter, NY on July 9th and 10th. That’s about 15 miles from East Durham. Last year, Joanie and the Ladies played there. So, if anyone can make it, I’ll be there. I probably have to come back home that Sunday night, though.
Arent you supposed to meet Cara during the week? I thought she was going to meet you up or something.
I will have a car while I’m there…
Can’t wait, Guillaume
I’m trying to remember what Jack is trying to teach me evertime he sees me, and I always forget. “Oh hell yeah of sh&?”? or “Oh hell full of sh&#!”? Anyway, going to be fun for sure!
I can’t make it: I wanted to go for one or two days, but they would only sell me a full week ticket.
However, I live only about an hour and a half north of East Durham. If anyone from the festival feels like taking a side trip to visit me and my shop, please contact me and we can arrange it. I love meeting other people from the board.
Cara and I haven’t made plans yet…I might be able to come to something on Saturday night, the 9th. Cara, will you be there yet then?
Oh yes, definitely. I hope you can make it!
Yes, we talked about it and we can come on Saturday night…so tell me where to show up!

Oh no. I read “Saturday” and not “the 9th.” I won’t be there on that Saturday.
I arrive on the 10th.
I’ll have to see if I can meet you another time. If you can think of a good time for me to head your way, let me know. Sorry for the cornfyoozhun.
Oh, darn!! What time do you get in on the 10th? I’ll be in Hunter until evening.
Well, I’m going to be there!
I will be there. Should we attempt as last year to arrange a Chiffy gathering?
Last time we aimed for a group eat at Darby’s. Not everyone made it. A chiff session would be nice, at least assuming that enough of us play some of those other instruments.
Consider that Joannie Madden actually mentioned C&F on stage during her surprise performance with Mary Bergin. With that kind of influence, you’d think we’d at least have at least a sekrit club or faction or such etc. Actually, didn’t we agree on a sekrit hand signal last year?
Caj
Actually, didn’t we agree on a sekrit hand signal last year?
Yeah, but it didn’t work too well as I recall. I for one didn’t want to look weird going around making the “I’ll be seeing you” gesture at people. Non-chiffers might have looked askance.
As for a chiffy gathering, see this thread for what meager plans have been made.

I’ll be there too
But you already knew that didn’t you…
Cara, looking forward to talking music with you (and playing too, of course!!). Az, can I use your fridge and stove? Let me know where you guys will be on Sunday the 10th after supper. That’s when I plan on arriving (hee hee, secret session at Furlong’s?..)
It’s going to be nice to play loads of music, listen to even greater loads of music, and just relax for a whole week…
Just bought my ticket! I’ll be there!!! via Hartford, Conn.
Excellent news, Jack!! I look forward to seeing you there
Can I use YOUR fridge then?

My fridge is Az’s fridge so yeah, you can use our fridge. Just make sure there’s still enough room for Az’s BIG jar of mayonaise.
