Bon Voyage Joe

I just had the pleasure of having some tunes with Joe Kennedy tonight. Most likely it will be the last time for a while. :frowning:

Joe leaves for Ireland in a couple of days (Friday Oct. 28th). We’ll miss him around here and I wish him the best of luck. Our loss is Armagh’s gain!!!

Good luck with the new pipe making shop Joe!

Having taken several reed workshops from Joe and both seeing and hearing the quality of his work, I am very sorry to see him go.

On the other hand, I wish him and his family best of luck in their new adventures.

I am quite sure we will hear of Joe in the future

I consider it my great good fortune to have met Joe, and to have had him so handy during my initial steps into the UP world. I doubt very much I would have kept it up without his help and close availability (the benefit of having a pipemaker near you).

I have just recently taken delivery of a Cnat chanter (Coyne) from him, and I expect I will not need to buy another set of pipes for the rest of my life, owing to the quality and service I have received over the years from Joe.

I’m not sure how I will manage without him, but I can only wish him every success in his new adventure in Armagh.

Very best of luck and prosperity in Armagh, Joe and to your family as well. Thanks again for the reedmaking tips, and other hints to help me along with making reeds.

I’m sure you’ll be happy in Ireland. Congrats, on the move!

I still have one of the three reeds he made me in 2001. I’ll play it tomorrow as his plane flies over Quebec on its way East.

Best of luck Joe.

No doubt, good for Joe. Armagh is better for it, that’s for sure. The north is a hotbed right now and is now moreso because Joe is there. I have been waiting well over 2 years now for a B set of his manufacture, hopefully to be done soon! G’luck Joe!
