Leaving for Ireland today

I’m all packed. I’m a bit nervous about leaving my house and cats, but people will be here everyday to pet them and whatnot. I am also excited. I’m going to try to meet as many instrument makers (and other insteresting music-related people) as I can. I’ll meet Steve at Shannaquay in the morning and then Hammy Hamilton. I’ll spend the first night in Kinsale. After that, who knows? Wish me luck…I’ll try to keep you posted. Maybe I’ll discover some hole in the wall whistle maker who produces little miracles. A girl can dream, can’t she??

 Jessie

Have a great time Jessie, wish you the best.

By the way… if you need a safe place to store all those whistles while you’re gone, I’d be happy to “store” them for you. What better place than Nebraska? Most people wouldn’t know a low whistle if you bonked 'em on the head with one, let alone know the value. I’ve even got a good supply of almond oil  They might even get a chance to play some Andean music, with your permission of course. If that’s too abrupt a style change then I’ll stick to contra dance tunes (got one coming up on the 4th)

Seriously though, be safe, have fun, and create some wonderfull memories.
