Hello All,
I was at the American Embassy in Ballsbridge, Dublin on Tuesday,
we got visa’s for my wife, myself and our two children for 3 years
to go to the US. I was over in October and we signed the lease on
a beautiful house out in the woods, 5 minutes from the town of
Redbank, NJ. My wife has a job with Waterford Crystal, and my intended
occupation is housewife and piper. Hope to give a few lessons from home and whatever.
My email address is soon to change but send me a mail to it in the
next few days if you are interested in lessons, or just in coming around
to play a few tunes. This house is rural, we won’t disturb anyone.
BTW, six weeks ago I got a deluxe set of C pipes made in german silver, ebony and Ivory from AG Froment. Incredible drones. He claims in 20 years of pipemaking he has never done better. I will be taking email addresses with me for
those of you that have been in contact with me to date, and as soon
as I get set up with a computer I will send you my details. Regards

Thanks very much for the kind wishes. Its a bit of a heave, especially
for my nine year old daughter, but we are looking at all aspects
very optimistically (the promise of a week at Disney clinched it for
her.)
Alain Froment’s latest effort included a 4th drone (A drone with shut-off) on the the C set for David. He based the drones design on the Ennis Coyne set and was delighted with the results.

I have some family in New Jersey, but none of them are pipers. The Garden State is the butt of a lot of jokes, but it’s really not so bad. Red Bank is one of the nicer towns, I believe. (Newark? Ah, not so nice.) About Newark: most people in New Jersey pronounce it like “Nerk.” There’s also a Newark, Delaware, and the people there pronounce their town’s name as “New Ark.”
You might like to contact the piping club on Long Island (in that other state).
leremarkable, I live about 20 minutes from Red Bank (Hazlet). What town is it you’re moving to? I would certainly be interested in meeting another piper in person…
I know all the good spots (and Edward is right, Newark isn’t one of them)…I have a friend from Delaware and she’s always getting her Newarks mixed up…I like to give her a ribbing about it…

Fulltime piper and housewife..you’ll never get any work done? I usually put the Pipes down about 5 minutes before the wife gets home…and look busy…when she walks in the door. …I never fool her though.
