April in Paris - teachers, sessions, etc.

Does anyone know of a flute teacher in Paris? I’m going to be there for the month of April and thought I could find someone to take a few lessons from while there. My French is passable, but the subtleties of flute might get lost, so someone with at least a bit of English would be good, so we can meet in the middle.

I also found this thread about sessions:

Pointing me to this page featuring a slow session that is actually right around the corner from our apartment, so that’s exciting!

Also, any pointers to other Celtic/flute related things that I should seek out would be appreciated. Traditional French music, Celtic history, etc.

Thanks all.

I don’t know of any flute teachers there, but the tune learning session at The Quiet Man is worth looking in on - I was there last summer, and happened to drop in on that night. Despite my barely-remembered French, they were a very welcoming and nice bunch. Some guy on bouzouki taught a few tunes, and then everyone hung around for a bit of a session. Would have gone back for the Wed. session the next night, but for some reason my spouse thought there were better things to do while we were in Paris - go figure :really:

I actually did see that about The Quiet Man, and already showed my wife that it’s right around the corner from where we are staying. Since we’re there for a month, I think I’ll probably get some good time in at those sessions. Awesome that the do a bit of teaching the tune before playing it!
