Anyone need a whistle stand? CP?

Hi everyone, I’m trying to make some money for Christmas. Yes, I know I should have started earlier, but what can I say? I’m a procrastinator .

I’ve been looking for a whistle stand for a long time. I finally gave up and decided to make one myself. I came up with this design, and I really like it. I thought maybe some of you have had the same problem storing your whistles, and might be interested. It’s compact, well balanced, and very sturdy. The pictures show the stand from different angles.

There 8 holders in 2 two different sizes that will accommodate many whistles.

The smaller will hold whistles up to approx. 5/8" wide and the larger approx. 7/8" wide. My Chieftan low G fits easily into the larger holder.

I was thinking $20 + shipping. I will, of course, find the best shipping rate and give options. You can PM or e-mail me if you’re interested.

Thanks!!

Great idea!

That’s creative.

Nifty Tucson!

These are cool!

Thanks you guys. I appreciate the kind words. I was asked about one for a Chieftan low D. I know I can make it, but does anyone know the diameter? I wanted to make sure it would be stable for larger whistles, also.

You could market it as the Danny Boy whistle stand: The pipes, the pipes are calling…

thanks for the idea. this gave me some food for thought. i need something like this for church services but it would have to hold a silver flute, whistles, & harmoncias in a nicely contained unobtrusive set-up. a weighted bottom would ease my mind a bit too. does anyone have any ideas for a harmonica holder? i only have so many pockets and i don’t want to look like that guy from blues traveler anymore than i already do.

I just put mine in a glass jar, the kind you might put pasta in with a latching lid, except it’s not as tall as spaghetti.

Just measured a bunch of low-Ds (Chieftain, Howard, Reyburn wide bore, overton plus three or four others.)

Any of them would fit in a hole 2.5 cm in diameter. Most of them were about 23ish mm. The Reyburn Wide bore was widest at just under 25 mm.

Doc

You could always make it look like a cactus while you’re at it, would suit you sir:

Thanks Doc, that’s just what I needed to know.
