Yeah, I saw that one. I’m virtually 100% sure it is your archetypal Pakistani table-leg - there’s one just like it in my shed - prettily made but quite unplayable - stupid really.
Jem is right.
Somewhere in Pakistan there is a table missing its leg… and it wants it back!

Run away… fast and far away from that thing.
Pakistani Special. Crap shoot–might work, might not–probably not.
Oh… it will work.
Just not the way you might want it too.
Take a look at the tone holes.
All the same size and all exactly spaced equally.
Perhaps the fellow that made it has finally figured out how to do that! ![]()
it’ll be fine ![]()
if you fill in the holes ('specially the long one)
before you attach it to the table.
all of the above is pretty much what i thought. very pretty, but just didn’t seem right in any way. first thing i thought was pakistan… but i wouldn’t want to be accused of “flute profiling.”

Stay away from the table leg, but what about this flute made by
Eugene Lambe?
The seller of the flute lives in Grand Haven, Michigan, a pretty little city on the eastern shore of beautiful lake Michigan. I am planning to visit there again in July. http://www.grandhaven.org/
the eugene lambe, on the other hand, i am watching very closely…
