They shouldn’t leave it on a chair. Someone will sit on it.
Somehow, that doesn’t look very “antique” to me. Probably early or mid 20th century? But don’t trust me, i’m no antiquarian. There’s no reason why it wouldn’t be a good player, though, if the price is good, go for it. The repadding shouldn’t be a big deal.

Bretton, if it were me, I would be suspicious and leery of doing business with this dealer in Argentina. The one very negative feedback should give you good reason to avoid dealing with this person.
Hi,
Looks like a run of the mill small holed German flute from the late 19th century. It looks like it is good condition, but who know hoe the tuning is.
Jon
I bought a flute from this person, no problems.
That looks nearly identical to the German flute I used to have (mine had a plated endcap). It’s probably ebony and not cocus. It could be worth it dosh. It might be a good candidate for a professional tweak by Rod Cameron or someone of that ilk.
Cheers,
Aaron
I too have an identical flute, bought for a tenner in a junkshop. Never played it though.
