While on vacation recently, our son played musical chairs at a 4th of July fun fair. Guess what the prize was for those who won? An inexpensive little wooden/bamboo looking C whistle.
Imagine our delight when we realized what he had actually won. Being the good son that he is he went directly back to win one for his mama! 
It was a real hoot to see a troop of kids just blowing their little hearts out making a joyful noise on this “thing” they had just won. 
Josef actually made music! People stopped to comment and he couldn’t have been more pleased!
Needless to say he and I spent quite a bit of time during the rest of our vacation trying our repetoire on our new whistles. These things probably cost all of 50 cents but we certainly have enjoyed them!
