6 keyed Olwell Pratten (no longer) for sale

Hard decision to make, but times are tough economically and I’m between jobs. PM me for details.

Demo clip here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHg5SJYRHA0

A really nice one!

That’s class, you’re getting a lovely tone from it

Alas, as you know Gordo, I am allergic to that particular material.

good one gordon ! very creamy tone !

Thanks lads! Totally mellow, yet quite strident. Only thing that would make it better would be an extra C natural thumbhole or two. Really helps you get that Grey Larsen sound down cold.

I don’t think that clip is up to your usual standard. And I don’t like your hairdo.

Rob

i really think you are onto something big here ! thumb and pinkie holes for both hands forcing a “correct” grip on the flute, maybe even a micro embouchure hole for improving ones embouchure. i know this has nothing to do with the original post and i’m sooo sorry for this ! but i did love your clip so you can’t be too angry at me !

I say keep practicing.

Yeah, I was thinking of installing an eccentric bore to effect a series of innovative intermodulatory quality enhancements. I’m hoping that will make it louder.

As a famous philosopher once said (I’m
paraphrasing), flutes need to be LOUD. The
more audible one is, the more one
can cut through the
dulcimers, you
see.

man ! it sounds like you are thinking of taking the flute to the next level…say, accessorize it with added drone attachments…cup holders…MP3 hookups…i love it !

I PMed him for details about the flute he’s selling. When he told me what he was doing with the thumb and pinky holes I decided I wasn’t interested in the flute.

Rick Ghastly ?!?!?!? Dude, you suck

m.d.

wrong !! you suck on harmonica and blow on the flute !

I have been sitting here all day blowing on this flute and I can’t get a sound out of it!

arbo, then you suck !

Sorry guys, flute is off the market now.

Unfortunately, the tenons spontaneously disintegrated today. My best guess is that at some point they must have been thread wrapped. Ah, well, what can you do? It’s ineluctable.

Pop, goes the weasel.

Well at least there was no spontaneous combustion.

You have to love the classics!
