My favourite bit:

The spokeswoman rather brilliantly added: “What could they possibly want with all that beer?”

I was… er… at home with the wife watching TV. It was The Bill… no, I mean it was… er… I was at the shops. I mean asleep. I had a headache that day… :astonished:

[Exit left pursued by Garda]

Do you remember the time that youngster put on a brown coat and made off with the chair that the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland had been sitting on? The Moderator was politely asked to move, and supplied with an ordinary steel-and-plastic chair.

Bit of Brass neck does it.

I can imagine a swimming-pool full of Guinness, but it’s a long time since I might have wanted one.

Pint of Guinness: $5

Your own private keg: $120

Having more beer than you could ever possibly hope to consume:

priceless!

well, I dunno. I’d be up for giving it a go. Maybe not all in one night, but I reckon I could do it.

The article says the haul was valued at £46K. What really hurts is to think that the thief will just piss it all away.

djm

The thief also stole some Budweiser.
But it seems that no one cares.

…and Carlsberg

Maybe the thief read this article: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2007/10/03/kiwi_boffins_prove_booze_makes_you_clever/

Carlsberg doesn’t do robberies, but if they did…

:boggle: ?

Police said the raider took 180 kegs of Guinness stout, 180 kegs of U.S. lager Budweiser and 90 kegs of Danish beer Carlsberg. > Guinness brews both of those foreign brands under license for sale in Ireland.

I did not know that.

:boggle:

might a borrowed some Clyde’s from the Scots

Praps the Irish issue of Budwhizzer is a mite better? Mebbee?

I’m suddenly very thirsty.
