I got an Al-Pro low D via Mick O’Brien a couple of weeks ago and am delira with it.
It was the feedback on C&F about the Dixon Low D which convinced me to try my hand at a low D (which I once thought I’d never master), and I’m glad I did. It’s got a fine sound too, but is a tad quiet for session playing.
I had thought I might sell on the Dixon when I got a Burke, but decided to keep it for those ocasional evenings at home when I find myself playing late into the night. Now I have the best of both worlds. My compliments to two fine makers.
