I especially like this one:

I don’t know if he is calling the Reaper God, or what? I also like the spelling on it.

awlfull!

I want to get a tattoo that says aweful now. It would be too much fun

With a babyface like that, Ya gotta work it a little harder…

I like the blog comment that suggested going back and having proofreader marks added in blue ink. Carets, deles, transposes. In fact, I’m thinking about Tatoo Editer as a whole new career.

  Yea, it seems that only God will judge his spelling.

A lot of the Macho types around here are sporting Tats that declare their aims, ambitions and Love for what will last forever.

It could be an urban myth..I don’t know…but a dear friend of mine, a Chinese bloke, tells me that what the Tat sez ain’t always exactly what it is supposed to say…

There is big fellas walking around here with Chinese characters all over themselves..and they think it means Macho stuff like Mighty Warrior..or Big Tough Dude…

My buddy tells me that what those Tats really mean is that this guy fornicates with animals..or

I am a fool…

Tricky business…

Slan,
D.

That’s exactly why I’d never get something in a language I don’t know.

I think mine’s pretty darn nice…

So true. When I was getting my tattoo I overheard another tattoo artist talking to a client about a mistake she’d made on someone, though it was the client’s fault. The woman’s sister had adopted a little boy from Korea, and the woman wanted a tattoo of the Korean character for ā€œaunt.ā€ Well, after researching long and hard she brought a picture of the symbol to the tattoo artist and got inked…and later found out that it was actually the symbol for ā€œman.ā€ Oops.

Problem is that most people think they know the language well (in case of english). I think my english is okay, but I would never trust the tattoo-artist in this case…

I heard of a guy who wanted a tat with chinese writing. So he went to the tattoo-shop and chose some symbols from a list and got his tattoo. Some months after getting the tat, he met a chinese guy and asked him to explain what the tattoo means and the chinese guy said that maybe the sentence was taken from the menu of a chinese restauarant, because its meaning was ā€œhot, cheap and spicyā€

In my opinion, most people whot get tattoed don’t think about it before having it and so, many people have tattoos they dislike after a year or two and want to have them removed. Some years ago, tattoos were very popular, especially the ā€œArschgeweihā€ (ass-antlers) which was a type of ā€œtribal ornamentā€ tattoo that many women had on their lower back. Now, the Arschgeweih isn’t en vogue anymore and many of these women regret and want to have it removed.I think you must be sure that you want it beforeyou get your tattoo.
