Correction, I’ll record the homeruler an other time…
hillfolk, yeah, it seems to work.
My next clip, an air, is on it’s way.

amar,

Congrats on your first tune! That is really a great accomplishment. Unfortunately, due to these bogus firewalls or whatever, I can’t listen at work :frowning:, so I’ll have to check it out at home.

John Mac

Good on you Amar! That Dixon sounds nice and mellow.I too use Goldwave as it’s FREE and also pretty much Idiot proof  I know from personal experience that posting your first tune is a BIG step, but very enjoyable, and useful-knowing that others will hear you(apart from the neighbours through the thin dividing walls) encourages you to improve your playing-sort of ‘show and tell’ rather than ‘Listen to my great/rubbish playing’,Well that’s MY excuse for my puny efforts to date!

Congrats, Amar! Sounds really great!! You’re a braver soul than I…

Great work! Fun tune, and great playing.

It’s kinda scary, isn’t it? I was trying to record last night, and kept botching up…that microphone was just STARING at me! I finally had to close my eyes

Redwolf

I know EXACTLY what you mean about that microphone Redwolf! I also find it frustrating getting best way through a tune, just to ‘botch up’ in the last couple of bars (Aaagghh!)Someone on the board suggested learning the second part of a tune first,as a possible antidote to this,as you invariably play the first part more than the second,if you stop and start from the very beginning again each time a mistake is made(there’s method in our madness!).

The few songs that I know have been solidified greatly by recording them until it’s right. Drives the wife nuts though to hear the same tune played over fifty times in a row!!!

Please pardon my rudeness. I’m half alseep at work today…

Great recording Amar!!!

Ah, the dreaded Mic! IMHO, just as bad as stage fright.

As of yet, I have no nerve when it comes to sharing my recordings. Well, I take that back I have shared a couple privately.

Anywho, one way I find of getting around the dreaded mic is to record playing the tune to death, run it through audio clean up lab where I can cut out the best clip.

I know, that’s cheating.

Looking forward to hearing more tunes from you Amar.

Laura

Wow, Amar! Talk about High Fidelity! It sounds just like an ass in the graveyard.
