I’m not sure what Mr. Wooff is charging these days but I’d venture to guess that someone is trying to add more than just a wee mark up to the price that he paid.

No point in begrudgery. Maybe the seller just needs the money, someone will meet or exceed the asking price. Hopefully it goes to a good home where it gets played frequently and well, with lots of TLC.

By the looks of it, it’s Mark Farrelly’s set. It was made in England by Geoff in 1989, I was present for most of the time of the making and have some photographs of Geoff tuning it. Mark was fairly specific as to what he wanted at the time. Some years ago he bought a narrow bore D off Geoff, for doing gigs and busking at the Cliffs of Moher, interesting he is selling it. Mark lives on the back of beyond between Ennistymon and Corofin.
Yeah, I saw that photo of Geoff tuning it on D’Arcy’s site. The look on Geoff’s face could curdle milk! 
I forgot one of them was up there, Geoff was working at the place of a friend of us in the North of England, I was over for a few longer spells and in between we drove to the Willie week and spent time in Ireland. There would be stories to tell about that summer. Good ones and bad ones.
Did anyone buy Mark Farrelly’s Wooff set or is it still up for sale? Just wondering if people are prepered to pay so much - admittedly a relative question as people pay much more for their cars without batting an eyelid and a good set of pipes has a much longer life than your averge car
There a 14K offer which he has declined, the grilfriend is having a baby and they need to build bathroom, get water to the house and all that so they are looking for the full amount.
Was this set ever sold or does Mark still own the set?
