Hm, better pack the citronella oil as well then, it’s a Very Bad Year for midges.
The weather is really too nice to be inside, a once in a decade stretch of summer. The heat and humidity in the hall is oppressive and I skipped the fiddle concert for that reason.
I did take a few pictures at the flute and whistle concert last night. Like previous years, I may add stuff as the week progresses but as I said, the weather is just too nice to get really stuck in.
Nice pics Mr. G
Nice pictures Mr.Gumbo!
Mr. Gumby has taken some fine photos again. Amazing weather here, like the south of France. We’ve met Peter, had some tunes, seen and heard Peter’s narrow bore Wooff set in action. Brilliant as expected. Heard a young girl from Monahaugh playing the box in the session today, fantastic scary how good she was
Kenny found me out today too.
Added today’s pics just now.

Thanks, brain is fried. Just couldn’t think of it.
Another hot day in Milltown. We listened to Fionntan Potts and Donncha Dwyer play at the afternoon piping recital. Nice piping, Fionntan has only been playing the pipes since October 2012, amazing progress! Donnchas set sounded nice but the heat affected his regs at times. Chatted with Mr. Gumby then ended up in a session with some young musicians from Dublin. Very good players, seven flutes and four concertinas, three very good singers. Trad. music is in safe hands
