It’s all in progress and I’ll stick on more as I go along, the good and the bad. Concert photos can be very frustrating business: I don’t like photographing microphones and where they are very much determines the available angle. Too many of them sticking into faces, crossing chanters or blocking bows at the fiddle concert as it is. The piping concert pics worked better this year but not all the afternoon piping. No shot of Padraic Keane for example could be had without the microphone crossing the chanter, which is Very Annoying.

The piping concert was Very Good and very enjoyable this year, all of it. And everybody’s pipes worked, despite the warm drizzle, except maybe for one back d’ getting wonkier as the set progressed.

Just added today’s two pipers and a few from the box recital. Am knackered and am having an early night. More tomorrow.
