Whistles for sale: Glenn Schultz, Susato

Hi, all:

Financial pressure brought on by recent catastrophic flooding and a subsequent layoff force me to sell some instruments. I also have some flutes for sale over on the flute forum, if you’re interested.

Here’s a pic of the whistles:

  1. **[Both now SOLD]**Glenn Schultz Water Weasles in Low G and Low A (with hyper-cool plumbing code intact onthe latter!). These are great whistles. The Low G purchase was a bit odd, as I contacted Doc Jones about it just before Glenn’s death, and received it shortly afterwards. Both are fine, lovely players in PVC. I’ve seen Glenn’s whistles selling for a lot of money on EBay since his passing, but I can’t imagine he’d approve, so I’m asking only what I paid for them.

–Low G: I think I paid around $110 (Doc, if I have this substantially wrong let me know, and I’ll adjust the price here). So I’ll ask the same, plus shipping.[Sold]

–Low A: I paid $80, so that’s your price, too (plus shipping). The Thin Weasel sticker is wearing off a bit, but the best part (aside from the sound) is the plumbing code. Very proletarian. [SOLD - thanks for the plugs, guys!]

  1. Susato set of D, C, and B whistles (one headjoint, three interchangeable bodies), plus vinyl case. I think these go for $69.80 onthe Susato website, wo I’ll shave off the $0.80. Your price: $69, plus shipping.

PM me if you’re interested, have questions, or with offers.

Thanks!

–Aaron

I’ll put in my usual plug for the Water Weasel A. It’s a remarkable instrument, and the next-best thing to a Village Smithy if you ever need a makeshift weapon. The WW low-G is also a great whistle, but the A is really something special.

Haveing just got a WW A recently, I have to agre with Chas. They are fantastic whistles with a warm woody tone.

Good selection. Check your PM box for my message.

I absolutely love my WaterWeasel Low G… I would snatch this one up if I were in posession of the funds … Therse have a great sound, are useful for the usual keys of Old Time and ITM, and much easier to handle than Low Ds.

I just found a cache of Water Weasels at a local music store and after poor Glenn Schulz having passed away, it’s probably a good time to get one while you can.
