keeping it alive.
Do you mean Quebec City? Cramer (that’s his username here) lives there and would be one to contact.

I’m from Quebec City. Playing whistle and flute . Every tuesday, we have a very good session at the Barberie, a very nice place where make there own beer. We play 50/50 irish and Quebec music.
Well, good beer, good music, and everybody is welcome! Want could you wish better than that?
I love Quebec City. Lots of buskers in the summer, art and artists on the street, tourists everywhere, great places to eat and drink. Old Quebec City is the most European place you can go in North America and reminds me of Normandy. Of course it makes me feel even more welcome when I look in the phone book and there are three pages of people with my last name and I know that I’m family with half the people in the city. ![]()
If you want to do some profitable busking and have a great trip, go to Quebec City and busk down on the wide promenade just in front of the Chateau Frontenac Hotel. All the tourist like to congregate there (no vehicles or horses and LOTS or room) and busking is very much a part of the scene. All kinds of music seem to be acceptable, you could have a quartet playing Bach or a group from South Africa and they would draw a crowd. ITM is very much appreciated in Quebec I think because it reflects Quebec’s own celtic music from their Breton origins and because many Irish people migrated to Quebec as well as to the USA.
