I haven’t posted here in a bit, so I thought I’d drop a line to let folks know that I’ve switched tunes over on Whistle This! – this is currently the eighth tune we’re learning and we’ve had 235 people upload their tunes to date!
For folks who are new to Chiff and Fipple, Whistle This! is a C&F affiliated site that posts a new whistle tune every two weeks… a midi sample, standard and whistle notation. You download the tune, learn it and make it your own, then record and upload it back to the site for advice or critique.
The goal of the site is to help people learn to play whistle better and, if they choose, play in a more authentic traditional style. We have forums on the back-end of the site with experienced players who generously offer advice and tips, so if you haven’t at least stopped by, check us out.
