Has anyone had any problems with this company? Placed an order last friday, and paid for overnight delivery. I haven’t received my order, and my email has gone unanswered.
I logged on there just yesterday to pick up a few cheapies. I noticed they are not currently selling the Feadog Pro any longer. Shame, I’ve wanted to give that one a try.
I also wanted to get another Generation Bb to make a B whistle out of but they’re out of stock on those right now.
I’d echo what brewerpaul mentioned (minus the whistle maker claim) that these folks are great to deal with. I spoke with Blayne via e-mail about a week ago regarding a bulk whistle order and she was very helpful. It seemed like they responded to e-mails within three days or so.
My order arrived a few minutes ago! All is forgiven!!!
Except, I have learned that paying for priority mail is not worth it. I will use regular shipping from now on.
EDIT: I guess I should share what I ordered. I already have a Clarke D whistle (the Celtic model) that I was lucky enough to find in only one music store after searching all over town. He only had one, and had to dig around in the back room to find it.
I ordered a Feadog C, and Generation B flat and F from Whistle & Drum. I also ordered a Waltons D which I think I already prefer over my Clarke. Additonally, a CD and a MelBay book.
I am a very happy person right now. If I had not been so anxious, I wouldn’t have paid the extra 16 bucks for rush delivery.
yeah, i found first class and priority is more or less the same in shipping time from Colorado to here.
I too will be ordering a Gen F and a Feadog C in the next few days. Tempted to go all in and get the Mellow Dog D/C set instead of the Feadog C, but I’m just not ready .
Correction: The Generation I bought is an E flat, not a B flat.
I’m new to the whistle, but not woodwind instruments. I’ve been playing my Clarke every day since I bought it. The only thing that still occasionally trips me up is octave control.
I want to get into the low whistle thing, but it’s kinda spendy. As far as the technical challenges that I’ve read about, I’m not scared. I will play an instrument until I learn it (or until it threatens to cause a divorce.)
