Just thought I should comment quickly on the great service at Whistle and Drum. Tuesday night May 1st (right after they upgraded their website) I ordered a Generation Bb which is great and right on tune, a Mellow D (good first octave) and a Feadog Pro (I really expected better). Then the next morning my 9 year old son asked if I could get a whistle in the key of C for him to take to school. His plan is to use it in place of a recorder in music class. Of course his teacher hasn’t said he can do this, all she said was that he couldn’t use his whistle because it was in the wrong key (he may be only 9, but he’s devious). Thinking fast, and trying to get out of paying extra shipping cost, I called Whistle and Drum that morning (figuring that orders probably hadn’t been sent out yet) and sure enough they were able to just add another whistle to my order. On top of all that the order arrived here in Orlando today, Friday the 4th. Now that is prompt service.

I just ordered a Generation Bb from them as well. Their prices are good as well as their shipping costs (the cheapest I’ve found so far). I’ll report on how quick I receive my shipment.
From a whistle maker’s point of view, Blayne and crew are a great outfit too. No problems at all, and they give maker’s a really fine showcase for their instruments.
Definitely the best. I have purchased a number of things through them and have always been satisfied with the value and customer service. A very nice and knowledgable guy, Blayne is very focused on making his customers happy. He also has a passion for the stuff he sells, which helps.
I got my Generation Nickle Bb today. It came quickly and well packed. I did have to perform a little bit of surgery on it, though. When I originally played it, the upper register was really raspy. So, I followed some advice that I read previously and I shaved a bit of the extra plastic from the blade. It sounded MUCH better after that. I’m quite happy with this whistle considering it was $10 after shipping.
