Hmm. I bought a Faedog online, I thought, anyway. Just because my sweetone is all dented up, and I remember mi exgirlfriend having a Faedog and liking the sound.
Well, the payment went through, but I never got a confirmation email about the order… and they never replied to my query about the order. Is someone from Faedog a poster here that I could yak at?
Its only like nine bucks, so its not any big deal. I’d just like to straighten it out, if I can.
So , anyway, still needing a whistle, I got my clarinet teacher to give me a catalogue, and I’ve proceeded to buy a C and D Clark.
Is this a step up or a step down froma faedog? Cuz it costs a little more…
It’s hard to say whether the Clark is a step up or down. It’s a totally different animal from the cylindrical, plastic-fippled whistles. I had a D Clark many years ago that didn’t cut it at all, but I’ve heard (and believe) that they can be quite nice – especially the C’s.
In the end, you’ll have two different types of whistles for not a lot of money. Then you can get a better feel for what you’re really after, and go spend the big bucks! (or not).
Have you tried to get in touch with whomever you bought the Feadog from again? Did the website say you were supposed to get a confirmation email? Could their email to you have been blocked somewhow? Your email to them could have gotten lost in an office or accidentally deleted. Call them on the phone if necessary. Naturally you’d like to straighten it out and I’m sure you can with some effort. Every once in a while things like this happen, in every part of life, and you have to pursue it. I think I would have gotten to the bottom of this before ordering another whistle that I did not want as badly. Most likely if your payment went through, the whistle has been ordered and will be coming.
